This is our third stay at Serene Ravine and we will definitely be back! In the heart of Red River Gorge and Natural Bridge, we can take advantage of all that the area offers (hiking, climbing, kayaking) or just enjoy the peace and quiet of the treehouse. We love the layout of the house and bedrooms. We love that there is only a limited view of one other treehouse. We love how absolutely surrounded by nature you are at the Serene Ravine.

Staying in the treehouse was the highlight of our trip! It was cute, romantic, and the main bathroom was larger than expected. The road leading to the treehouse was difficult without an all-wheel drive vehicle. The challenging road conditions kept us from wanting to go in and out through the day, which in part helped us settle into and enjoy the house more.

This was exactly what we needed! My husband is a backpacker, and I’m a glamper; this was perfect for us. The directions and the house were described perfectly. On our first day, we enjoyed a walk, grilling dinner, and all in time before the rain. We played cards at the table inside, with the garage-like door open, listening to the quiet and relaxing rain. We spent the next day, beautiful and sunny, hiking the “rough trail” to Grays Arch. And it was often rough and tough, which we picked up at Martins Fork. That evening, it was perfect to grill again and sit by the fire pit listening to nature. My husband opted for the loft to sleep, and I took the lower deck bedroom. (I’m not a loft ladder fan) The beds were both comfortable and cozy. We especially enjoyed opening the doors in the lower deck bedroom each morning. Letting in the cool air and listening to nature was incredibly relaxing versus our usual rise-up and hit-the-ground running routine.

Cute treehouse! My bf and I stayed for the weekend and we loved the place. Getting there: The directions were perfect. As soon as you see Martin’s Fork Trail Head parking turn right immediately. Upstairs Bedroom: He’s 5’11” and he was able to stay in the upstairs bedroom with no issue other than watching his head in one place. The view from the balcony is peaceful and it’s not far from Natural Bridge. We brought our own water even though it’s safe to use because I personally can’t do the taste of well water but that was ok because it’s less than $4 for 9 liters which is all we used for the weekend. Kitchen: The fridge was big enough to fit several drinks (3 1L smart waters, 6 soda waters and it had room to hold smaller bottled waters in addition to what we had) and it also was big enough to hold a large bowl of fruit, 2 large containers of yogurt, deli meat, and a package of cheese sticks. I could have easily added chicken breasts and veggies for a dinner with room to spare.
