A beautiful home within walking distance of the train station and the city centre. A great location to base for a weekend exploring Leuven. The home was clean and welcoming.

Mari’s place is absolutely beautiful and has everything you need! Located close to supermarkets and walking distance to the city center and train station. Property also has excellent wifi! The home is beautifully decorated, clean and has everything you need for a great stay.

This is the best house we have stayed in, in the Leuven area - having visited several in the past. It's spacious, very clean, and well-placed for enjoying the city or travelling by train to Brussels or Antwerp. Having the second toilet downstairs was a bonus. Our hosts were fantastically helpful throughout our stay, when we had a small issue with the heating, and responded immediately to sort it out for us. The kitchen is well equipped, and the shower is enormous, with plenty of hot water. We took the local bus into the city and to the station, but found it quite expensive, so we chose to drive in and use a parking meter instead - which actually worked out cheaper at 4 euros for 2 hours. There are a couple of large car parks in the city too. Train travel is very inexpensive compared to the UK, and it's well worth a trip outside Leuven if you have enough time. Leuven is an absolutely beautiful city, which is why we keep coming back! Although the house is advertised as offering free parking in the road, this wasn't quite the case. Again, we managed to resolve this with our host's help. You can park from 18:00 to 09:00 free of charge, and for a period of 2 hours during the day, provided you use a blue timer-card to show when your period of parking begins. If you want to park for longer during the day, you can drive further out of the city, outside the 'blue zone'. Our host sent us the map showing these zones. We solved this by driving to Philipslaan bus stop on the main road (5 mins) where you can leave the car for as long as you like, and then took the 380 bus back into the city. (There are other places one could choose to park.) Although this sounds a nuisance, it really wasn't too bad, and Leuven has never been an easy place with regards parking. On a day when you're out and about in the car, there's no problem. We wouldn't hesitate to stay in this house again, as we were very comfortable and happy staying there. ( It wouldn't suit anyone who couldn't manage stairs.)

I cannot recommend a better place to stay in Leuven! The house is within walking distance from the city center and located in a safe area of the city. Everything looks exactly as it appears in the pictures—gorgeous interiors, plenty of space, and natural light. The amenities are incredible, and the whole house is immaculate. Many thanks to Mari and Luis for hosting me!
