My daughter, grandson and I really enjoyed MJ's place. The surroundings are beautiful and peaceful, and there are many animals to enjoy. My three year old grandson was entranced with the place and the animals, and MJ was so welcoming and friendly to us. The house is comfortable and enjoyable. The beds are really comfortable and the rest of the house cozy and very functional. Thank you, MJ, for a wonderful stay and we look forward to coming back again.

I booked this place for family visiting from out of the area. Although I only live 10 minutes away I’m thinking about booking it for myself.

Everything was even better than we expected. Loved the fresh baked cinnamon bread! The house was clean and very warm and welcoming. We were concerned because we had two dogs with us traveling for the first time. The dogs loved walking around the property and did very well inside. There was so much room so we decided next time we would like to come back with family or friends. A beautiful and relaxing time!

We absolutely loved our stay at Sweetheart Ranch! MJ, the host, was so kind and left us a welcome note with cookies and coffee cake, and she also left some fresh eggs in the fridge for us. The house was clean, clutter free, had all the kitchen and bathroom necessities, and plenty of wood to burn (which was great during the rain/thunder while we were there). The property is absolutely gorgeous! Green and lush. It was the perfect place to walk the dogs, sit and read, work (I worked during the trip), explore nearby, and just enjoy family time. There were many deer on the property as well. The Yuba River and covered bridge are 15-20 minutes away and worth the drive. So beautiful. We would definitely stay again when in the area. Thank you, MJ, for being such a great host and sharing your home with us!

MJ’s place is warm and inviting. We were greeted with fresh homemade banana bread and a bowl of apples that I promptly turned into applesauce in the beautifully stocked kitchen. The house is bigger than we thought it would be and is fully stocked with everything we wanted and needed. MJ prepared a fire for us in the large fireplace which was easy to light. There was plenty of dry wood so we were able to enjoy our quiet evening by the fireplace. Thank you.
