Very nice place to stay out of the city, easy drive to access supplies, easy access to trails and mountain towns. Be aware if you stay in the spring time, the snow dump is excessive, be prepared. All in all I believe I was there almost 6 months with no issues. If I get up this way I will definitely stay again I highly recommend this place for the reasons I noted.

Beautiful, clean and peaceful stay tucked away in coal creek canyon! It is a perfect spot if you are trying to escape the hustle and bustle of the city. We drove into Boulder and Golden to have breakfast and dinner which were both about 30-40 min away. We also had luck with some snow during our stay and decided to chase more of it and drove up to Klondike mountain, Eldora ski resort and spend time in Nederland which was about 1 hour and 15 min or so from the place. Plenty of hiking trails near the area as well! We wish we had more time to use more of the amenities at the house like the fire pit on the patio which was such a lovely feature but the indoor heater/fireplace helped us have a relaxing movie night in before flying out the next morning. It was a great sized place for my partner and I and we’d book again and maybe try to bring our dog since the place is also dog friendly!

Ian and Wendy were excellent hosts and very communicative. The cabin itself was clean and pretty and only a short drive from downtown Golden. They alerted me the second they knew a property inspector would be stopping by for a surprise visit and even issued a small refund for the inconvenience. I would definitely stay here again!

My husband and I spent a week in the area for vacation- we both could not believe the “at-home” vibe here! It was clean, beautiful, both hosts were responsive & very helpful! Highly recommend!

I stayed at Ian's place for 3 weeks and absolutely loved it! It's cozy and comfortable with a wonderful deck to enjoy the outside. Ian and Wendy were very responsive to any questions I had and provided all the info I needed. It was an easy drive into Golden or Boulder. I would definitely stay here again!
