The place was lovely and perfect for family gatherings. The kitchen was well appointed and made it easy for us to cook meals. The dock and water features as well as the fire pit and natural surroundings were stunning. Eric was responsive via phone, however the evolve app was no help for our minor issues and didn’t even respond once. We would absolutely book again as Eric asked for feedback and we mentioned a few small things that he said he would act upon.

Great place to stay with out family! Beautiful property and beach! Close to a winery, breweries and restaurants.

Great place, nice sandy beach, clear water, plenty of beach toys, paddle boards, kayak and lily pad. Plenty of space for our family of 11 ranging in age from 2 to 79. Three older grandkids slept in the bunkhouse/ garage. Even had high chair and pack and playfor the two year old. Eric was very responsive to our requests. We hope to be back but have found it booked a year in advance.

We loved our stay here! We traveled here with extended family (3 families plus g&g) and the place fit us perfectly! We had 7 adults+ 7 kids ages 1-11 yrs old. Eric was very responsive to my emails/questions.The cabin is very “homey”. There was plenty of space for everyone and plenty of beds. Clean, Updated bathrooms (3 towels/bathroom). Nice large front yard for lawn games and also brought our own hammocks to hang in the trees. There is an extra full size fridge in the garage. The beach is nice and sand is soft. Be aware-there are 62 steps down to the beach(it sounds worse than it is). The lake is SO CLEAR! Some weeds but use to far worse where we come from! They had an assortment of life jackets from toddler to adult sizes. Plenty of water floaties, chairs, beach towels. Carlos creek winery was great. it’s also a brewery and serves wood fire grilled pizza and has some fun out door games. Very kid friendly. Shops in Alexandria are worth a trip into town:) Would definitely go back!

That sunset!!! Bring your cameras! We came pre-season, but there were new buds on the trees, birds singing in the trees and fish swimming up to the dock. I got my workout going up and down those steps down to the lake (steep - not for disabled folks) where our hosts left plenty of kids toys to keep them entertained. The bedrooms were nice, living room open with plenty of seating, big kitchen for cooking and nice long table to set out food for everyone. We only had 4 staying here but had the large family over one night and greatly enjoyed sitting on the back patio and watching the sunset while the kids played ping pong in the finished garage (which also has a bed/bath). Thank you so much -- we will be back!
