Our stay at your Mongolian Yurt Retreat was amazing. Richard and Stephanie are most definitely super hosts. They were caring, attentive, responsive and tremendously personable. The space was peaceful, calming and provided a place where our long time friendships deepened. The food was simply amazing, served poolside under a clear blue sky, and with plenty of color both in the food and the service. Our experience was magical.

if your looking for a touch of magic, a place away from the everyday life a place where you can forget it all and just read a book this is your place. This is my second trip to the Magical Yurt. I am sad to see them go and hope the new owners continue the legacy.

Cannot recommend this place enough! My boyfriend and I wanted something different and unique for our anniversary. This was the perfect choice. It exceeded out expectations. We were blown away by the yurt and unique touches. And Richard and Stephanie couldn’t have been friendlier or more accommodating - and the breakfast they provided was outstanding! We enjoyed the property, as well as the surrounding hikes, and towns of Auburn and Nevada City. We will definitely be back and will recommend this to all our friends! Thank you!

Richard and Stephanie are great hosts. The place is just as described. There are enough things to do there to keep you entertained for the whole of your stay. Their attention to detail and hospitality is commendable. They served one of the best breakfast meals I've had in a long time. They had champagne and strawberries complimentary since it was our anniversary, checked in on us throughout the stay to make sure were comfortable, which really shows they go above and beyond to make sure you have a comfortable stay. Highly recommend this place!
