The cozy cabin was exactly what we were looking for to base our excursions out of. It was just the right size for me and my wife and located close to several sites on our list. Plus the property is private and surrounded by natural beauty. There is a cafe’ and bakery minutes away that became our go-to spot for morning coffee and pastries. The cabin is between a couple major waterfalls, close to the road to Porsmork, and the Fimmvörðuháls Trail. It’s also close enough to drive the Golden Circle or to the Iceberg/Glacier Bay for day trips and then come home to a quiet setting. The dark sky and clear horizon to the east made for excellent Northern Lights viewing. As a bonus, the cows that seemed to stay very near the cabin were welcome visitors. We spent 5 nights in the cabin and enjoyed every one of them in quiet bliss and beauty. I literally set on the couch looking up at the glacier!

Perfect cabin in a great location. Amazing views outside, cozy inside. Would recommend staying here for anyone who wants to explore the south coast.

Amazing place! I would pay anything to be able to wake up and see the mountains like you can here. It is larger on the inside. The washer and stove worked amazing. The water tasted so good too! Thank you for letting us stay.
