Although rustic it was not clean at all. The location is cool and the concept is good, but the actual cabin was almost a deal breaker had we not been too tired from an all day drive. Dead bugs, dirty bathroom, front door didn’t close properly or lock, no chairs to sit on inside, not even a trash can available. We usually enjoy basic cabins, but would not stay here again due to the uncleanliness….and the cat continually trying to get in

The spot is absolutely magical and tucked away just a few hours north of New Orleans. We wanted somewhere to get away for a night and this place was beyond expectations. Chris and Zoe (the staff on site) were warm and accommodating beyond what we’ve ever experienced renting on this platform. To say we will be back eagerly is an understatement. Can’t wait for our next visit. Thank you for everything!!!!

Had a lot of fun at this scruffy outpost in the middle of the woods. Lots to explore. Chris is a great host (and an exceptional cook). I’ll be back for sure.

This place is absolutely the most peaceful perfect get away! The arrive to the friendliest host! He is there the whole stay for whatever you may need. From the moment you book, any questions you have. Directions, communications, anything you need. He met us upon arrival and check in was a breeze. The cabin was so cute and cozy and the ac worked amazing. The surroundings and the property is just beautiful. The common area and deck/firepit is so relaxing. What a great place for a night cap. We bbq'd there and Chris made sure we had everything we needed. We walked the dogs on the trail. The porch on the cabin was perfect to eat dinner and play board games. Then the lake! Chris guided us to the lake. The most beautiful stars I have ever seen in my entire life! I will never forget it. We went fishing and caught 3 nice size fish! We will definitely be back. This was the perfect get away. I highly recommend.
