Are you looking for a place to finish that incomplete book you were writing? Are you looking for a place to do a wildlife photography? Or are you looking for a place to enjoy with your family? Look no further, you have landed at the right spot. Solitude is a place where you can find that tranquility and comfort of a country life. The place is situated on a river where you can take a stroll by and also experience working at the farm. As the name suggests, you will be at peace with yourself. Solitude is situated in a 25 acre farm on the bank of the Jodu river. As the name suggests, "Solitude" you are away from car honks, television, phone and internet. Although there is a good reception to Jio connections inside the house while the others have to walk outside the house for a network reception. A perfect get away for a family of 5. The place often is booked by writers who love the peace and the isolation. We are also surrounded by forest so there are a lot of birds and animals if you are into photography. The farm is situated to enjoy a walk in the fields, the forest or a chilled out fishing session. You are woken up by the sound of Peacocks and Hornbills in the morning along with barking of the Foxes and bleating of Deer's, so you don’t need an alarm. The tribal village besides the property gives you a real world experience of life and culture here in the forest. There are sightings of crocodiles in the river so we do not recommend entering the river, the pool is actually an irrigation tank where the water from the river is lifted before it goes to the farms, feel free to swim into it or sit down with your feet dipped into the water. The best part of the stay is a BBQ in the garden at night accompanied by some stars and Fireflies. We also have a “Machan” built in the field to experience sleeping under the stars.

This place has a great vibe. Sanket's father and the people who work on his farm make sure you're taken care of. The place is surrounded with beauty and silence , all you can hear are the sounds of birds and nature. Sanket was very helpful and sent us a detailed message of where to eat and things to do around. My husband and me with our pet had the best time and will be visiting soon
Superb and rare find on AirBNB. The father son duo run the place so well. It was home away from home. An experience etched in our minds forever. Beautiful farm Stay with beautiful souls hosting us. We are sure to visit again. Regards Soniya
A beautiful spacious property in the heart of a peaceful farm. It was a pleasure to be hosted by Sanket and his father. They were kind, helpful and super responsive. Key highlights of my 3-night stay: - Waking up to the wind rustling the tree leaves and birds chirping. - Fresh milk every day! - A fully stocked kitchen and local veg food is also available - Villages with more options for food are a quick drive away - Coming back to 'Solitude' after an eventful day exploring Dandeli/Kali River etc Note that there is low internet connectivity in the area in general (I have Jio). It's a great place to choose for a getaway with family, friends or your partner. Highly recommend!
Peaceful surroundings, true to the name 'Solitude'; and both Sanket and Sanjay ji are very responsive and considerate hosts - also very knowledgeable about the nearby places of tourist attraction. Though there is no restaurant, kitchen is well stocked and anything you need to prepare food is made available on request, if possible. You can order food and a nearby cook prepares excellent home cooked meal for you. 2 more cottages are under construction with a plan for a small restaurant for the guests, which should make it even better while retaining the charm and peaceful environment. We stayed for 2 nights and could not extend our stay but will certainly revisit for a longer duration to be in the lap of nature. Visit Solitude to rejuvenate, introspect and contemplate. Do remember to ask for the place where your phone could catch good signal for those moments when you need to connect with the outside world :)
We stayed in 'Solitude' for four days. the place is amazing. Jungle all around the farms. there is river at back of property. You can find many birds. A pair of Malabar pied hornbills greeted us as we entered the property. Room at back has glass windows on all three walls and it offers almost 270 degree view of peaceful surrounding, farms, trees and river! We also spotted 3 jacals at about 100 mtr, twice in three days as they crossed the farm to drink water. Kitchen is well equipped if you want to cook food, tea coffee etc. they provided fresh milk from the buffalos they own. Since we did not want to cook, we had to travel a few Kms to Jagalbet for food. Due to Diwali, the nearby restaurant was not available. Sanket arrived next day and we had a off roading in old Jeep in Jungle around. He is very friendly and attentive. He also accompanied us to arrange for one of the best local meal and then helped to sight Indian Bisons on the way.
