On a Whim was a great place to stay. We relaxed and there was lots to do on the island. We will stay there again for our next trip.

My recent stay at ON A WHIM surpassed all expectations, leaving me thoroughly impressed and completely satisfied. From the moment I stepped through the door, it was evident that Scott & Mandie had gone above and beyond to ensure every aspect of my stay was impeccable. The attention to detail was extraordinary. It was evident that Scott & Mandie had meticulously thought of everything a guest might need, as the place was not only impeccably clean but also thoughtfully equipped with all the amenities one could desire. From the well-stocked kitchen to the cozy living area, every corner of ON A WHIM exuded comfort and convenience. Furthermore, Scott & Mandie's responsiveness was commendable. Whenever I had a question or needed assistance, they were promptly available, making me feel supported and cared for throughout my entire stay. Their hospitality truly made me feel like a valued guest, contributing significantly to the overall positive experience.

Liked: • very tidy and clean • good mattresses • nice furnishings • toiletries and paper goods provided • just a couple quick turns off the main drag • even though it's a duplex, we never heard the neighbors • fully equipped kitchen • very responsive communication Wished: • whoever is in charge of the secondary road needs to fill in the unavoidable huge potholes • because there is no landing at the top of the steps to the master suite -- there is a door on the top step -- the handrail ends at the penultimate step, so be careful on your way down • tiny toilet in master en suite • due to sloped ceiling in master bedroom with the king bed, there's no height clearance for a headboard, so you can't sit up and read . . . bumped my head a couple times on the sloped ceiling

It's a great house and location. We were in town for a funeral and my daughter left her wedding ring and some other jewelry on the nightstand as we were rushing to be on the road by 7am and it was returned ❤
