Wonderful, peaceful place to stay. Short drive down to the resort beaches and amenities. We loved the extra addition of the resort access like the other guests have mentioned. We spent the morning and afternoon at the beach/resort and the late afternoon exploring Waimea and Hawi area. We felt the Westin had the best amenities and was more upscale, however Mauna Kea had a quieter, relaxed feel and we enjoyed both beaches (Hapuna had larger waves this time of year, but they were fun to float over!). We felt so privileged to enjoy the beach loungers and head back to the adult only pool for afternoon drinks. South Kohala is a great place to retreat after long adventure days and so nice to have your own washer/dryer and full kitchen. It’s a short drive to Foodland but you can also have groceries delivered if needed. Open concept dining area was perfect to enjoy dinner at the dining table and watch a movie. The bed was soft and comfortable and the bathroom was great and spacious.

We had an alright stay, felt more like a stay in an hotel/resort rather than true Airbnb experience. Everything was far, so get ready to drive a lot, even for basic food & necessities.

We always stay at the Westin Hapuna but we were coming with a larger group and this condo was the best of both worlds. We were able to use the hotel facilities while saving on hotel rooms and had the ability to cook our own meals as needed!! I will definitely come back here to stay!!

The place was as described and worked great for our family of four. We paid for access to the Mauna Kea beach and facilities and it was definitely worth it if you plan to spend time at the beach. Note that the beach is not walking distance but parking is easy at the hotel.

We had such a great stay! The condo was spacious and tidy. It had everything you could need. The neighborhood pool was great to have so close. Neighborhood is beautiful and very quiet. Highly recommend utilizing purchasing the day passes at the Hapuna/Mauna Kea resorts. Not many restaurants super close by, so be prepared to rent a car and drive a lot.
