Fully enjoyed out stay at Loriel and Adam's place. We were in a perfect place for hiking and exploring! The place was a perfect fit for our short cabin getaway!

This was my 2nd time staying here. The accommodations & amenities were great. I was on a multi-day bicycle trip through the area. Their laundry was a necessity & the property is close to stores & restaurants. There is plenty of room, fully stocked kitchen, & the property is in a quiet wooded neighborhood. Neighbors are dispersed in the neighborhood. It’s a perfect get away from the city for skiing or just relaxing. The Host were exceptional as always.

Loriel & Adams Balsam Shadows Retreat was quiet & peaceful with lots of bird calls reverberating off the mountains surrounding us and owl calls at night. We had plenty of room for our family of 6 & we liked the open area seating in front of the fireplace. We had enough seating inside and at the table. The outside grill worked well and more propane arrived when we needed it. Kitchen was well equipped and it was great to have two full bath rooms; one up, one down. The place reminded me of many ski area cabins we had rented; rugged, well used and in good repair. We enjoyed hiking the surrounding mountains together over the three days we were there, we had some great conversations together and we had fun visiting with family that we had not seen since Christmas.

Our stay at the Balsam Retreat was wonderful! The space was fantastic , Loriel and Adam were amazing hosts! Will definitely be back!
