Didn’t expect that kind of area, don’t even know how to call it other than a HOOD. First night I got to place late at night, due to hurricane, flights were changed. And I felt super tired after long night. But first thing I noticed, the house is very old. No lighting outside, had to use my phone flashlight to see where I’m going and to get in to a house. When I entered I noticed a weird smell. Don’t know how to describe it. When I got into my room. It is super tiny. The dresser broken. Weren’t able to close drawer whenever I pulled it out. Took some time to figure it out and put it back together. Nightstand needed dusting, it had some kind of spill on the bottom shelf. So I just used my wet wipes to clean it. Mirror on the wall was foggy too. But that night it didn’t really matter, cause I just wanted go to take shower and go to bed. Unfortunately bathroom was even worse than a bedroom. Paint peeling, bottom of it kind of molding or from the moisture changing color to yellow. It definitely need to be looked at into depth. You know, I just washed my face and went to sleep, cause I had to wake up in few hours. Next morning I was gone early, and got back after 5 pm. Got some stuff, cause originally I planned to stay there for the whole month. After an hour or so, I stared hearing some noises outside. I could see from my bedroom window host and 3-5 people there, drinking next to my car. I was alerted, cause the car is rental, and some of them were leaning on to it. After some time one of them pulled out a pink baseball stick and started swinging it. My only thought was, he will make damages to my car. I wanted to leave the same moment. But I was scared to be honest for my own safety. After some time host left , but other few people were sitting in their car and smoking. I calmed myself down, maybe I was overreacting. Went to sleep. But when I fell asleep, I could hear doors slamming, leaving house bunch if people, and coming back, and leaving again. I just realized, that there was hunch of people living in that house, or staying there, I don’t know. But her listing did not say, that is is basically an open house. I been traveling in my life a lot, and seen all kind of places. But this… If I have to be scared for my own safety, nooo, it’s not for me. I left her place. Also, originally for a month I paid a little over $1200. I reached out to a host for a refund. Of course she tried to explain herself. We made an agreement, that she will charge me another week, due to not having it rented to anyone else and she will refund me for 21 days. She ripped me, for 9 days she charged me $490.99 or something like it. And refunded me for 21 days $694.98. She’s a fraud. Cause charging me almost $500 for 2 nights that I stayed there, and another week just because. My head cannot put it together???!!! I do not recommended this place. And I don’t know how she has all those good reviews, it’s definitely far from reality.
