I came to AIR for my last two weeks in a two-month creative retreat in Bali to work on a memoir called Wet. It could not have been a more perfect location with a pool and a mystical water purification temple right next door! The place is amazing. The people are great. I told Kharisma the only thing that would make it better for writers is to have a printer to see work on paper. Then it would be over-the-top the best place for a writing retreat in Ubud. The books are also great. I really appreciated being able to read smart, interesting books after six weeks of being away from home. I appreciated getting into Siddhartha's Brain on the scientific basis of mindfulness. I was apprehensive about staying so far away from Ubud center because I don't drive a scooter but it worked out with cars and motorbikes picking me up. Next time I will get into driving a scooter. Overall a great decision and I would stay here again. Thank you Tuadi for all your great help too!

Air is one of the best Air BnB hosts I have encountered. The whole property is thriving with creativity, and a lucky find for anyone looking to focus on their creative modality. The whole atmosphere is extremely conducive for receiving the magic of nature while having a beautiful space to focus and create. Air, the host, is extremely communicative and provides great recommendations. You can feel the fantastic quality of community they cultivate at their property, from the artwork to the events provided for guests. Just really good vibes overall!

Die Lage ist traumhaft, naturnah, ruhig, einfach schön. Abseits des Trubels in Ubud ist Raum für Inspiration und das Atelier dient als schöner und anregender Arbeitsraum. Ich wünsche ich hätte mehr Zeit für kreativen Flow als für die Arbeit eingeplant. Das Internet hat für Video Calls und normales online-Business gute und zuverlässige Dienste geleistet. Zu Fuß oder per Scooter kann man die Umgebung erkunden und tolle Sonnenauf- und -untergänge erleben und die Natur genießen. Das Personal ist sehr aufmerksam, hilfsbereit und erreichbar. Zwei Hunde und eine Katze kommen gerne vorbei und bleiben auch mal länger. Ich habe es genossen, morgens in Hundebegleitung laufen oder spazieren zu gehen. Sie sind sehr liebenswürdig. Zudringlichkeiten kann man entschlossen unterbinden. Die Unterkunft besticht durch ihre reduzierte, wunderbar geschmackvolle und funktionale Einrichtung. Man merkt, dass der Gastgeber selbst gerne hier ist/wäre.

There are places that feel like home, and then there are places that feel like heaven. Air Basquiat managed to fulfill both descriptions. My experience at this beautifully designed and intricately arranged home made me feel like I was living in art and inspired me to be still, observe the beauty of nature, and create contributions that honor our nature. While the home is exquisitely designed, it is still balanced with the surrounding Balinese community. The neighborhood is filled with incredible and sacred temples and neighbors who are warm and inviting. This place is a dream come true, and I can’t wait to return. It was an honor to share this space.
