Gillian’s place was nothing short of wonderful. Spacious, clean, well decorated and stocked and had a real home away from home feel. Gillian and Pashcal were excellent hosts, so helpful and great communication about local travel routes, bus and trains, check-in and out and even gave us a lift into Swords. They were warm and very hospitable, kindly giving us a well stocked fridge with everything you need for breakfast during your stay, including fresh hen eggs. Mount Barker itself is very close to Swords and Dublin City, as well as Portmarnock beach which is lovely. A great place to stay if you want to explore both Dublin City and relax in Irish countryside. Cannot recommend Gillian’s place enough and already thinking about booking again for next year!

This accommodation is terrific! Immaculate and comfortable. Gillian is a wonderful host. The place is 10-15 minutes from the airport and 3 miles from Malahide where you will find great restaurants. Close by attractions include Newbridge House and Malahide Castle, the cliff walks in Howth, the beach at Donabate….. There is also a cliff-walk walking Northeast from Donabate Beach. We took the train from Donabate to Dublin (Connolly Station). It took less then 30 minutes. This will be our go-to place whenever we travel through DUB.

Die Unterkunft war ein Traum. Schön eingerichtet und gepflegt. Die Gastgeber waren sehr lieb und hilfsbereit. Haben sich regelmäßig über unser Wohlsein erkundet. Die Unterkunft ist sehr gut gelegen. Autobahnen oder Bus Verbindungen sind alle in der Nähe! Sehr zu empfehlen!

This was an absolute haven! It was our first trip to Ireland and our first vacation in a very long time and it was just perfect at Gillian and Pascal's. The location, while very near Dublin and the airport, was also easily accessible to the main motorways making it easy to get to most of Ireland's must see places. Our room was beautiful with a lovely bathroom and spacious bedroom area. The kitchen was great because we could eat some or all of our meals there if we wanted, with the fridge just for our room stacked with goodies and gorgeous eggs from their own hens! It was wonderful for us since we aren't huge night owls and after a big day of touring we were happy to cook up a meal and relax in our room. Gillian was so helpful with suggestions and anything we needed was there almost before we had to ask for it! It was just a delight to stay at Gillian and Pascal's and if we ever get the chance we will certainly return. Well worth it and a total joy to visit, thank you both again!
