This cabin was so very secluded! We were pleasently surprised at how deep into the woods this cabin was. The surrounding woods were so beautiful, and the scenic drive to Hochatown was our favorite drive of the whole trip. The cabin had everything and more of what we could have possibly needed, and the family was always a quick text away if there was any questions! Definitely would come back again.

Absolutely fantastic getaway. I made the trek from Dallas to enjoy a weekend alone in the woods with no screens or internet. This was exactly what I was looking for- secluded, comfortable, truly in the middle of nature with no civilization nearby- yet had all the amenities required to live modern if you so choose.

Our stay was awesome and the cabin is remote amid beautiful surroundings. Riley was friendly and helpful. place was clean and comfortable. Two things to note are the wood burning stove is the primary (and only) heat source and the cabin is on an electric generator. The generator is loud, so you will want to cut it off some to enjoy the quiet. You will have to choose electricity or quiet. Also, as can be seen in the photos there isn't a shower, only a bath and there is a bed in the bathroom. Other than those things, which are not bad but do take some adjusting to, the place is perfect. It is 15 minutes along dirt roads from the nearest highway, so bring a truck or jeep to get to it. I doubt a car would make it up some of the roads. For me, the remoteness is a huge plus to this beautiful cabin!
