Because of the water soaked carpet & reoccurring leak it was very musty from the first day. Two days later I found the leak. The back of kitchen sink was filthy. One evening and half the next day was for a plumber and cleaning lady. 3.5 days were devoted to this problem. I requested a 3 day rebate. Brittany answered right back “There will be no rebate” They need to devote more time to cleaning up and as the plumber said “update their plumbing”

I spent a summer weekend at Brittany's place. I would recommend staying here as it was a good time, but here are a few things to consider. The cottage is very close to the lake, but it is not directly lakeside. There is the lake, then houses/cottages, a street, then Brittney's place. The street is busy, and vehicles go very very fast. A positive about this, Brittney's place is completely closed-in, as well as many steps away from the road, therefore if you have pets and/or young children, keeping them on the property away from the street is easy. Loved that I got to include my dog on this trip!! The cottage itself is spacious, bedrooms are not. But the cottage sleeps a great number of guests and is suitable for a group of people, or a family of 4+. Really nice property. You can see over the fence to both neighbouring properties, but lots of trees and some privacy. Great deck, which is where I spent most of my time! Communication was okay! Some longer response times than anticipated. On the day of my arrival, I learned that access to the lake was scarce. There is no direct access unless you walk down the road (not far at all, 1 minute). There are a few feet of sand with entry to the water that is available, but the dock beside it (pictured) is private with no access. There is another water-entry spot a bit further down the road that is even smaller but still access to swim! There is a boat launch area with more sand/access to the water, but all of these are directly off of the busy street. Also, I was told it is not recommended to drink the water- just as a heads up for when preparing your grocery list for your stay. Issues with the fridge- I lost about 95% of my fresh groceries as the fridge would not keep items cold/fresh, with no compensation or concernment by host. I was informed that there is a replacement available, so just be mindful of this! Location was great! Secluded and close to the water, but also a short drive away to town and to different beaches/parks/hikes, etc.

A great place. Beautiful view of the lake from the gorgeous deck. Access to the lake and swimming just down the road.

It’s a great place to stay to get away from the city. The neighbourhood is friendly and cozy. The provincial park is pretty close, and they offer activities like cycling, hiking, and going to the beach.
