Our group consisted of two families. We have vacationed together for years. The house was well appointed and didn’t feel like a rental. Well designed and thought out with lots of charm! The bedrooms were great and the floor plan fantastic. The outdoor area was amazing and used a lot as we didn’t have great weather-but still had a fabulous time! The host was really responsive with questions/answers. The beach was fun and the best time of the day was between 4-8!

We loved, loved, loved this house. The pictures don’t do it justice. We stayed for a long Thanksgiving weekend and cooked/served an entire Thanksgiving dinner with no problems. Plenty of plates, utensils etc. more than enough fridge space with a spare on the ground floor. Loved that there were so many small different sitting areas where we could gather, get privacy and/or work. We had a glorious weather day on Saturday and spent the day lounging on the outside furniture. The whole space was meticulously clean. TV’s were easy to use (has been an issue with other rentals). The sunrises and sets were spectacular, and we loved seeing the change in the Sound with the different tides and weather. One thing to note if anyone plans on booking in the colder months, the path to Salt Island at low tide is a wade not a walk, not really possible in winter unless you are a polar plunge type. All in all, we had an experience that exceeded our expectations. We HomeAway/VRBO/Airbnb frequently and this was A+. Beautiful location, amazing well appointed house and the host was very quick to respond to any questions.

Salt Island Resort is the closest my friends and I have come to a resort AirBnB minus a butler and housekeeping! This property is a real dream, luxury linens, comfy furniture - inside and out - well stocked kitchen, radiant heat in the bathrooms ( although we didn't use it) and it sits right on the ocean. We were there off season which was lovely but anytime of year would be great. And the owner Fran is the best!

This is a fantastic house, location and host! Spectacular views, a fully stocked house supplying just about anything you might need, and Fran, who is a most accommodating host, made a long weekend for me and my 4 sisters one of our favorites ever! The home is just lovely with such tasteful touches throughout, including comfy beds and furniture. We are definitely planning a return visit!

Our family had a wonderful stay at the Salt Island Inn! The home was beautifully appointed and had everything we needed - plenty of towels, kitchen supplies, cookware, kayaks, SUPs, tubes, beach toys, etc. Being able to go between the water and the terrace as we pleased added to the convenience of the location, and the shaded dining area on the terrace provided a nice reprieve from the sun when needed. We had great weather but there was plenty to do at the house and in the area in case of rain. Check in and communication with the owner was quick and convenient. Can’t wait to visit again!
