The property is located 5 blocks from the foot of the Acropolis Hill at the edge of a neighbourhood called Koukaki.
You are perfectly located for visiting all the areas of interest in historic and central Athens by foot. You are a few minutes walk away from the Acropolis Mueum, from there you can continue directly into Plaka and then Monastiraki, Psiri and Thissio with many ancient sites, cafes, tavernas, bars, restaurants and shops en route. Alternatively you can start your walk by climbing Philopappou Hill and then walk down and continue in the opposite direction around the Acropolis Hill. You are also within walking distance to the National Museum of Contemporary Art (ΕΜΣΤ) on Sygrou.
For landmarks further afield such as the National Archaeological Musem you can go to any of the nearby metro stations such as Acropolis or Sygrou and take the metro to Omonia station and walk from there. You can also take the metro to Syntagma and from there walk up Vasilis Sofias where you can visit a number of museums: The Benaki, Byzantine Museum, Cycladic Art, War Museum and so on. I also recommend the Goulandris Museum in Pagrati for art lovers.
Koukaki and the nearby areas are full of many highly rated restaurants, cafes and bars, all within walking distance. In Koukaki you can also find all the amenities you would expect in a neighbourhoood such as grocery shops, pharmacies, hair and nail salons, shops, banks, a post office and so on.
