A great weekend getaway on a beautiful and quaint farm - highly recommend!
Just the bees knees. This is definitely a rugged experience. You will have to shower and use the bathroom outdoors. So not “glamping” so to speak but not really rugged either. You will have to cook outdoors either in communal kitchen or on the grill at your campsite. I really recommend actually using the shared facilities. Everyone is very cautious of space. All in all it was a very enjoyable experience!
Overall a great experience. We stayed in the vintage trailer -- Josh was a great host and I enjoyed trying out a couple of things from the farm store as well as a farm share basket. I was sad that there weren't any fresh eggs while we were there but it was ok! I would definitely recommend getting some groceries before you get there as the options in Woodridge and Mountain Dale can be somewhat limited, but the outdoor kitchen is nice and has the basics. Also strongly suggest getting there by car if you plan on leaving the property during your stay. It did rain one of the evenings we were there which made making dinner a pain (so bring umbrellas/raincoats even if rain isn't forecasted) but it all worked out. We stayed for a Friday and Saturday night and went to a farmer's market nearby on Saturday as well as hiked up to Mullet Falls. Really nice weekend!
Loved the grounds and farm of The Outlier Inn. It was the peaceful oasis we were looking for away from the city. The vintage trailer was what we had expected. Joshua was a great host and met us when we arrived. The little shop they had in property was super cute and loved the cider that they sold there. Bought 3 bottles just for ourselves and gifts! The only thing was the WiFi wasn’t quite what we expected. Was still spotty and had to walk to other side of the grounds. I know he said he’s working on fixing this soon though!
The Outlier Inn is a great place to unwind. Also great for photoshoot sessions. Woodridge town is a wild place, worth to visit because of that. Joshua is a very helpful host. Be aware that there is little to no cellular connection in the area.

The Outlier Inn is 90 miles from NYC in the foothills of the Catskill mountains. We specialize in group rentals of the entire property for retreats, workshops, off-sites, and events. We also rent to individuals on a nightly basis. Our accommodations range from year-round homes to seasonal glamping. The 12 acre property has the following accommodations: 2 family guest house (sleeps a total of 17), cottage (sleeps 6), bungalow (sleeps 8), main house (sleeps 8), 2 tiny houses (each sleeps 3), vintage trailer (sleeps 4), and geodesic dome (glamping for up to 25). Property amenities include an outdoor kitchen, outdoor shower/bath, outhouse, covered outdoor dining area, wood-fired hot tub (for full property rental only). The Inn also features a full-service recording studio and fiber farm, with alpacas, sheep and goats who are all shorn for their wool. There is also a vegetable garden and produce is available for sale to guests. There are many incredible hikes and swimming spots nearby, as well as cute towns to visit. See you soon! Josh
