Mark is a fantastic host, he provided really clear instructions on how to get to Howe Tarn and was quick to respond to questions, in addition to taking the time to check in with us during our stay. Howe Tarn is a lovely place to stay for anyone looking to be close to nature and have privacy, whilst still enjoying creature comforts. The kitchen is well stocked with various utensils and the lounge is nice and cosy. The views from the property are incredible too!

Perfect central location to explore the Lakes and so lovely to be able to walk from the door. A great site, but a pity the pool was out of action. Lovely to look out on a little pond complete with ducks. Super accommodation, warm and cosy.

Amazing location, woke up with a view of a lake right outside our bedroom and the fells in the distance. Kitchen well equipped so we could cook a meal there. Close to Ambleside, so if you have a car, it is no distance. The bed was comfortable too. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely come again! Also need to mention that I forgot a couple of bags with my things in the apartment. Mark was so helpful - he posted them to me already the next morning! So appreciated this and very impressed.

Thank you Mark & Janette for being such helpful hosts, we had a lovely stay. The property was perfect for a peaceful weekend away, very well equipped and only a short drive away from Ambleside centre. The property is also well located for walks - we did a great walk to Grasmere via Loughrigg Fell. Would recommend this property!
