We had an amazing time! The first two days of our holiday and we had a great time. We could recover from our jetlag in a great and private house. The pool was a delight and the villa spacious and clean. The view at the lake is amazing. The staff was really friendly and helpful! Please try the Sri Lankan breakfast, it is a delight! They also helped me with arranging a beautiful cake for my wife’s birthday! Me and the family loved every moment of our stay!

This place was awesome! Would for sure stay here again! WiFi was a little spotty and a little hard to find but was worth it! This is a must stay place everyone was very friendly!

Lake Villa provided my family of 5 a lovely relaxing stay. Plenty of indoor space and the garden was well maintained, with lots of interesting animals for the kids to enjoy. This is not an obvious tourist destination and the property is tucked away amongst some pretty run down places typical of the area. We were the only tourists we saw in 8 days but all the locals were amazing, wanted to help and we were always safe. Host/chef Isuru is excellent, he made us all relaxed and was full of helpful advice. Whilst the place needed a bit more TLC (broken items, some cleaning) we really enjoyed our stay and would recommend it to anyone who wants to embrace the culture. The location was great for a nearby train ride down the coast or tour to Sigiriya. Local travel and things like Uber eats are very cheap in this area too.
