This was our first visit to Captiva and this home was a great treasure to find! As many people are rebuilding and reopening in Captiva and Sanibel, we were thrilled to have great restaurants to chose from and absolutely beautiful views greeting us each morning. We loved watching the birds feed and dolphins swim by daily. We traveled to 3 different beaches but loved being right “at home” at this property where we found sooo many beautiful shells and the surf fishing was unbelievable! Just cast the hook and enjoy the thrill of the catch. Our added bonus was seeing a bald eagle! If you love the thrill of getting away to a peace-filled retreat, this is your place!! The hosts were very responsive. We had no issues with the cable and our phones worked great and the home had nice appliances. The one thing that we would highly suggest is to bring and apply bug spray throughout your day as you enjoy all the natural beauty on the island. We would definitely come again!

Had a perfect stay in paradise during the rebuilding of Captiva. The host was very responsive and took care of our every needs. Highly recommend this special place!

The house itself is great. It has been fully renovated, tastefully decorated, with new appliances. The location is also great, right in front of (and two minutes walk from) the beach. The island was recently devastated by a hurricane, so it looks a little beat up and many stores and restaurants are still closed... It's still very pretty, and will get better still in the future. The porch screens were missing, and given the mosquitoes that prevented us from using the outdoors later in the day and at night, which was too bad. Our major problem was that there was major construction in front and all around (and under) our house during the week we were there, waking us up at 7am for three days in a row. Be aware that this could happen to you, as the roof still needs to be redone and the screens replaced. For us, it turned out to be more than just "noise due to reconstruction". Once everything is rebuilt, this will be a great beach house to rent.

We love our stay at the Beach Home. It was so wonderful to be on the beach. The weather was perfect, the beach was peaceful and the home was recently renovated and beautiful. A perfect vacation!

Great beach home – just like a magazine —contemporary beach chic, super clean and comfy. Right on the private beach with awesome shells and the sunsets simply can’t be beat! Can’t wait to come back!!!
