Upon arrival the property was noticeably dirty. There were layers of dust on multiple surfaces as well as a strange, mouldy smell coming from both the bathrooms. On further inspection there was serious mould and grime inside the upstairs bathroom, making using it extremely unpleasant. The interior furniture of the house was very out of date. Alongside this the exterior furniture of the house was flimsy and cheap, one of us injured his back as the chair broke when he sat on it. There was no air conditioning inside or even fans so every night was unbearable. The top bedroom mattress made a loud squeak every time we turned over which woke us up. The owners let themselves into the house un announced, once with 3 men who we assumed to be maintenance. On this occasion the men stared at me in my bikini whilst obviously making comments about me in Portuguese. To top this off the owner was extremely rude on checkout. She was shouting at us for the broken plastic chair, demanding us to pay €50 despite the exact chair being worth €6 when we looked online. The only positive thing I could say about this experience was the beautiful location and the view.
