This was our 3rd stay here and I look forward to going back again and again! I am glad the 2nd couch was put back in the living room and a chair was added as they were missing during our previous stay. The location is absolutely perfect for us as we stay there to visit my brother in Goochland. The outdoor amenities are fabulous, and we basically only go inside to sleep. We love fishing in the pond, eating outdoors in the pavilion and enjoying the outdoor fireplace on chilly nights. Even though the cabin itself is rustic, it has a nice kitchen equipped with the basic items needed to cook. Our dog absolutely loves the place as well!

Overall great experience. We had to checkout early due to extenuating circumstances and Carter promptly refund us the second night. I wouldn’t expect that all the time from any host, but Carter was kind to do that. Come expecting a cabin in the woods - there’s bugs and dirt but you get all the amenities of a home. There is not a single bed upstairs at the moment but I believe Carter plans to fix that. Overall great place to bring you pups and enjoy solitude from all the craziness of the world. Would stay again

We had a wonderful time at Carter’s place. An idyllic location. Very private and peaceful. Wonderful outdoor amenities.

Pictures are not the same as what the place actually is , the stairs are steeper than mentioned and there is just one bed upstairs and a pullout couch that has little to no comfort
