Michelle was a lovely and helpful host, and her and Stephen’s place was lovely. Super cozy and clean and within walkable distance to everything you need. I would absolutely stay here again!
value for money and perfect for short stay for 1 person. communication was easy and Michelle gave me a lift to Salamanca market and also she accepted me doing later check out which was wonderful. 2 km from the center although Hobart is hilly and you cant walk to the center however bus stop was at the door uber is very cheap in Hobart place was nice and quiet and clean, except the cutluries which was not as clean as my standard. also there is no space to wash your dirty dishes and i dont feel like leaving my dirty dishes for lanlady to wash. also please note soap and toilet papers were not to be replenished during you stay so please use them carefully. all in all a perfect little spot in Hobart
Michelle and Stephen are very kind and helpful hosts. The studio is cosy and peaceful, with all the essentials and a good desk for working. I found the green garden view calming. I would be happy to be back!
Michelle’s guest studio was warm and cosy. This was my first Airbnb experience and the instructions were easy to follow and understand. The private entrance into the studio made me feel safe and right at home. Michelle was helpful and provided great recommendations for a first timer in Tassie!
The restsurant/cafe strip in North Hobart in Elizabeth St is nearby to us in West Hobart. There are 3 to 4 cafes very close by. The Hill St Grocer is only six houses from our home ( turn right exiting property). It is an upmarket IGA supermarket which caters for every need from fresh fruit & veg, ready made healthy meals in their delicatessen, including wines & cheeses, artisan breads. Huge variety of local foods 😋 and florist/gift shop.
We have a park across the road with a bus stop on both sides of the road, taking you to Mt Stuart or via CBD. Turning left short stroll along Newdegate St, ending at roundabout in North Hobart has a direct bus route to Hobart City. There, you'll find 2 Pharmacies, laundrette, and the State Cinema showing art house films some latest releases, as well as many restaurants and 3 pubs!! Enjoy the social atmosphere of The Winston esp. on a Fri/Sat night with bar good, live performances, bar games, and cosy.
The Republic bar, LGBTQplus friendly, live performances, dancing, food at bar, outdoor seating.
The Crescent, away from Elizabeth St, but close to us, food at the bar, outdoor seating, cosy and good for groups.
The most preferred way to get around based on the majority of guests is to walk. The buses here are infrequent on a weekend as every hour, weekdays every 30 to 40 mins, depending time of day. More first thing in the morning.
The timetable route 540 takes 15 minutes to the CBD.
You can pay cash or get a smart card.
An Uber fare is approximately $10. A taxi rank is at the end of Newdigate St.
Walking to North Hobart via Newdegate St, then right at the roundabout at Elizabeth St is about 8mins,
自我介绍
My partner Stephen, our dog Alfie (our Maltese Shih Tzu) and I reside in our family home in the inner city suburb of West Hobart. We are empty nesters, rent a property nearby, forced early retirees due to covid, hobbyists (too many to mention) and keen gardeners. Stephen and I have travelled widely. Stephen has surfed many of the local beaches and can help with travel ideas within Hobart and outer. I have interest in the arts. Reasonable knowledge of local culture. Some local markets, essential MONA basics, who doesn't? We are private people and respect other people's privacy, but are keen to welcome guests and help with any advice we can give to make your stay an enjoyable one.
