Our stay at Desert Sky was very pleasant. It’s a small, quaint, older home with basic essentials but it’s very close to Old Mesilla and within walking distance of the square, which is a main attraction of Las Cruces! If you are looking for a place that is close and convenient for one or two guests, this is a great option. Next time we will bring extra pillows and blankets to make the bed a little more comfy. Thanks for a great trip!

The house was very neat and tidy. It was also in a good location. Everything went very smoothly. I would recommend Melissa's Place to family and friends.

This was such a charming casita. The website description doesn’t do it justice. We walked 800 feet to the historic church and square for shopping, eating and touring. Then in the evening we walked 700 feet to two amazing restaurants. We chose The Dog House and it was authentic and delicious! We had two babies crawling everywhere in the Casita and the place was spotless! All of the rooms were spacious. The kitchen, entry, dining, bedrooms and bathroom had plenty of space. The back yard was very private and the landscape was nice. There was a bbq and a fire pit available. Bring your own propane… or fill theirs if empty. The location was great. There are cars traveling by, but it did not disturb us at all. We would definitely stay here again, and the price is spot on for the location and how close it is to the Mesilla amenities. The short walk was perfect for our toddlers. Seriously snag this one.

We spent a month at Melissa's and enjoyed it thoroughly. It was like having your own home in Mesilla, a very historic and charming town adjoining Las Cruces. It is only a couple of blocks walk to the plaza with a beautiful church, restaurants, shops, book store, and a not-to-be-missed independent movie theater. A short drive to downtown Las Cruces, the university, and spectacular hiking in the Organ Mountains. The house is lovely-- decorated in the traditional New Mexico style-- and is very comfortable and roomy. Kitchen and bathroom are large, kitchen is well-stocked, and there is a large backyard, as well. It's very private. The only drawback is that it is located on a busy road, which can be noisy. However, that did not affect our enjoyment at staying there. We would definitely stay at Melissa's again.
