Several walks can be undertaken directly from the chalet, from lovely family walks such as the bisse de Tsa Crêta and the Alpage de la Louère, to longer day trips such as the Mont-Noble, the valon de Réchy and the cabane des Becs de Bosson.
In winter, there are popular tour ski and snowshoe hikes and when snow conditions are good, it is great to sled down the street towards the nearby picnic area.
The mountain village of Mase is a 6-minute drive down from the chalet. There is a village shop and two lovely restaurants. Nax, 15 minutes drive away, has several restaurants, a larger supermarket and access to its ski area. It is possible to ski back to the chalet from the slopes. Sion, the capital of Valais with its two imposing castles, has all you need and is 25 min drive in the Rhone Valley.
Besides Nax, several large and smaller ski areas are accessible. For example, access to 'les quatre valée' (Verbier) can be reached in 20 min (Les Masses).
Deeper into the Val d'Hérens lies the characteristic village of Evolène (20 min) and the mountain villages of La Forclaz (30 min) and Arolla (40 min), where there are numerous tours with views of stunning glaciers.

The accommodation is best reached by car. From the motorway in the valley (A9, exit 27 Sion Est) it is about a 25 minute drive. Navigation "Départ du bisse de Tsa Crêta".
The last 75 metres of the drive in summer are on a dirt road from the Tsa Creta car park. This stretch of road is not cleared of snow in winter.
In summer you can park at 30 metres from the chalet next to the fountain. From there the access to the chalet is a sloping path down a few steps.
Parking in the winter is possible on the parking area of Tsa Creta at the end of the paved road. The run down to the chalet (approx. 100 metres) can be slippery.
By public transport. There is a bus from the train station in Sion to Mase (Mase, La Fougère).
From there it is about a 2 kilometre walk uphill between the houses (about 350 metres difference in altitude) to the chalet.
