This area is a fishing town surrounded by Toyama Bay and the satoyama of Noto, located on the inner side of the Noto Peninsula's ridge in northwestern Toyama Prefecture. Toyama is part of Hokuriku where is the mid and north of Japan. Many people visit this area every year for its magnificent view of Toyama Bay to the east and the Tateyama Mountain Range beyond the sea.

The Himi fishing port in Toyama Bay boasts one of the largest catches and varieties of fish on the Sea of Japan, and fresh seafood is available throughout the year. Yellowtail in winter is especially famous, and crab, firefly squid, and white shrimp are also available at nearby fishing ports. The satoyama area also has a thriving agriculture and livestock industry, and fresh vegetables and Himi beef are available. The rich natural surroundings allow residents to enjoy the unique food culture of the Hokuriku region.

Within walking distance, there are many traditional shopping streets, restaurants that have been loved by the locals, a day spa, souvenir stores for tourists, and a park with a beautiful view, so there are many things to enjoy during your stay as you like. The area is also conveniently located with supermarkets, convenience stores, pharmacies, coin-operated laundromats, and other essentials for daily life.

If you only want to go to Toyama City or Kanazawa, you can take public transportation (trains and buses), although the number of buses is limited.
