We enjoyed our quick little family weekend getaway staying at Christine’s. We spent most our time in St Joseph eating, going to the beach, shopping and relaxing. Christine’s place was easy to find, in a quiet neighborhood & we loved having 3 bedrooms with queen size beds in each one that seemed newer with nice bedding. The house is definitely older and in an older neighborhood and needs some work around the house. It definitely had a little “older” smell, but still fairly clean. My only complaint unfortunately was that that bathtub was terrible and the well water in the house STUNK. We all just did quick rinses with a coffee cup instead of showers after being at the beach all day cause the water smelled so bad. My 2 little kids had a hard time rinsing off in the tub cause of the smell and the big orange rust stains scared them. 🫣 Besides that everything was good!

Christine was a great hostess! We arrived later than expected and were so exhausted we couldn't figure out how to get in. We texted her and she responded to our message immediately! There was a couple of minor things that popped up and they were taken care of within a couple of hours. We truly appreciate how quickly they took care of things. It was so nice to know that we had a cozy place to relax in at the end of the day. There were six of us staying at Christine's and she made sure that we a table large enough to accommodate us all. Christine was the best hostess we've ever had! Having a closet full of linens was not only nice but the little extra touch of having makeup washcloths was just great! We're so very thankful that we had such a great hostess!

The location was perfect. We were in town for a wedding at Andrews University. The location was great for easily going back and forth to the campus and the bnb had everything we needed.

Christine was very responsive. I had originally planned to bring our dog but she passed away before we made the trip and Christine was kind enough to not charge the pet fee. The house is nicely decorated. Beds are comfortable. Unfortunately, there was a mildew/mold smell in the house. Christine is clear about the water leaving stains (the tub was stained but didn’t bother me bc she mentioned stains in the description) however, the water did have a very strong smell. I know it was written that other guests didn’t notice. I have terrible allergies so I immediately noticed the mildew/mold smell as soon as I walked in as well as the water when we used it. I didn’t have any issues brushing me teeth with it, or using for coffee. The area is small but the house is easy to find and a quiet neighborhood. Everything was stocked and when we needed toilet paper (which we hadn’t even noticed yet) Christine had some sent right over. Other than the smell, I would stay again if I were in the area.
