Ben is a great host. We travelled with our 7.5m boat and could safely store it in our own driveway. The space was comfortable enough for us and our 8 & 9 yo boys. It is just Ben and his son who lives upstairs and although it was the Easter weekend it was incredibly private & Ben was a wealth of knowledge for fishing spots etc, even put out some extra eskies and ice blocks for us if needed. Very clean, very quiet location - you can walk into Ostyster HQ if you like, it is all downhill! We hope to be back again.

The photos and description were very deceptive as the second bedroom is literally a bed in the living room. The kitchenette and facilities were minimal with laundry kitchen and dining combined in a tiny space and there is no room outside for kids to move around. The host lived upstairs with his family and there was a sense of no privacy, particularly as the stairs to their residence are right at the front door of the unit. Would not recommend this for a family with young children. We determined the place to not be classed as a 2 bedroom unit as advertised and was not suitable for our planned 5 night stay with 3 kids. The host only refunded just over half of the money paid even with us not staying a night at the property. Very disappointing experience.

Benjamin’s place was great for our type of tourism. He gave us plenty of information about the local areas, including Coffin Bay & Port Lincoln. He mentioned many good place to visit while we were there. Would definitely recommend staying at his place, no matter how long you decide to visit Coffin Bay.
