This place is so special. Exactly what we wanted – the place has beautiful farmhouse character, lovely artwork and decor, a beautiful kitchen, so many places to sit and explore in the yard, super comfortable beds, two pianos, lots of books, chickens...! Kim was also so helpful and responsive. It's a really magical place, inspiring and even nicer than the photos somehow. 10/10 would come back.

I echo all the previous reviews - Kim's place was an idyllic haven! You can feel the tender, love, and care that the house has received with the personal touches throughout. The farmhouse kitchen, the cozy living room, and the dreamy backyard (with the seven ladies!!) were our favorite. It is an old house - complete with old floorboards, cobwebs in some corners, and occasional spider or ants (particularly on the 2nd floor). But these felt consistent with our expectations. All things considered, the house was clean with sufficient renovations + touches to make it a comfortable stay (particularly great linens + plumbing). We booked the airbnb in part for our Napa day trip, which was a very easy 20-30 min drive. Kim was a very kind, communicative, and generous host. Would love to stay again.

We came for a few days to explore the Sonoma/Napa area and we just fell in love with this house. There is too much to put into words for a review but we couldn't have been happier staying here and it added so much to our trip to have such an amazing place to come back to at the end of the day. Kim was an absolute pleasure to work with and went above and beyond to make us have a great stay. Amidst all the new LLCs and property managers on Airbnb these days it was refreshing to be reminded of how Airbnb was originally and truly feel like a guest. Fresh eggs, cream and fruit for breakfast, lettuce from the garden, hanging out with the "ladies" (chickens) eating on the deck, it was just such a warm experience all around. Anyone who feels this kind of experience is something they would enjoy should not hesitate to book. We are so happy we did. Thanks for opening your home to us Kim! We are so grateful!

Kim's place was even more beautiful than the photos suggest—filled with light and history and small, impeccable details. We felt immediately at ease during our weeklong stay in Vallejo, thanks to the incredible thought and care that has clearly gone into furnishing and stocking the house with everything you could conceivably need in a home away from home. Easily the best airbnb experience I've ever had. (Oh, and the chickens were wonderful company—if vastly more difficult to herd back into their coup than Kim implied!)

A quiet and spacious oasis in the middle of town! This very private-feeling hilltop property spreads out over an acre of gardens and beautiful mature trees including one of the oldest pepper trees in California. We loved communing with the plump red-feathered hens while we basked in the sun on the deck’s wooden furniture. We spread our own flock throughout the 4 bedrooms, plus a small fifth with futon.The master bedroom has four skylights and we woke to a view of treetops swaying. We lounged in the light-filled farmhouse kitchen and the gigantic living room, with two pianos on a small stage, and browsed the bookshelves full of Californiana, fiction and poetry. Kim is an artist, and her unique spin on rustic farmhouse decor creates a lovely and consistent feel throughout the high-ceilinged rooms. The Vallejo Ferry is nearby for day trips into San Francisco or to pick up members of your party. Aside from ferry runs I had little desire to leave this tranquil spot during our stay.
