The place was GORGEOUS! I enjoyed waking early to sit on the porch overlooking the bay with my book and coffee. Ashley’s place has everything you need to feel like you’re at home with a fully supplied kitchen, books, games, blankets, and tons of nice-to-have amenities. I can’t imagine a more beautiful place to stay in the San Juan islands. Instructions for finding the place were easy to follow, and while quiet and private, it was easy to get back to shops and restaurants with a short drive. Would definitely stay again and recommend to anyone wanting to stay in the area. And as an extra plus, Ashley and her property manager were super accommodating in helping ship back two dresses that we left in one of the rooms. They went either way to help return that to us, which was greatly appreciated!!

This is one of the most serene locations we have ever stayed. Gorgeous views and a cozy home. We would absolutely stay again if on Lopez Island. Thank you!

The cabin is absolutely lovely, and extremely spacious. There were only 2 of us, but it would easily accommodate 8 without feeling crowded. This is an outstanding choice if you are looking for a quiet getaway with beautiful views. I would definitely go back.

We had a wonderful time!! The location is absolutely stunning, we spent a lot of time outside enjoying the gorgeous views. For the outdoor space alone it was worth it to us. We cooked a large thanksgiving meal and the kitchen had everything we needed to prep (we did bring our own seasonings and oil but all the cookware was great). The host was responsive and super helpful. The only negatives really that someone might want to be aware of ahead of time is that there were lots of dead flies on the ground/in the bath when we arrived (>10) and the water is very sulfuric smelling so showers and baths were not quite as pleasant and the water was not super appealing to drink. However, the host did mention that it’s a rustic cabin and they have pest control coming out regularly and the fridge did have a filtered water spigot that didn’t smell/taste as sulfuric! Overall very pleased with our stay.

We stayed at the Cabin on Hunter Bay for three nights, mid-week, at the beginning of November. The cabin was easy to find, and easy to get into. The cabin is super-clean, true to the pictures, and had the feeling of a great family cabin that is being passed down through generations. The kitchen was well-equipped and easy to cook in (a good thing, because during the off-season, most Lopez Island restaurants are only open Friday and Saturday). The cabin was easy to keep a comfortable temperature, there was plenty of hot water, and the bed was comfortable. There is no shortage of seating, indoors or out, and the views are as spectacular as the listing indicates. The only outside noise was the occasional plane.
