Chimacum · 整套客用套房 · 2室4床1.0卫 · 可住5人 · Four Creeks Farmhouse - Lower
This spacious farmhouse offers a slice of nature from every window. The front porch has an unobstructed view of the large pond. Enjoy organic apples & pears from the orchard, the sound of running water from the spring fed creek, eagles soaring in the sky, and bright stars on a clear night. The indoor space: With over 1100 sq ft of privacy, this ground level space features a full-size kitchen with large prep island, stainless appliances and a hand-poured, beach-glass embedded, concrete countertop. There is plenty of comfortable seating in the living room along with a smart TV, wood burning stove and a variety of family games. The first bedroom has a queen size bed and is tastefully decorated with local antiques and handmade quilts. The second bedroom has a sturdy wood bunk bed as well as a twin bed. The bathroom has a standard size tub with a wide, removable shower-head. The outdoor space: This farmhouse sits on the edge of the Chimacum valley where the forest meets the pastures. The north side of the house has a large and tranquil pond with a weeping willow, lilies, cattails, ducks, and the occasional blue heron. The pond can be viewed through the large picture window in the living room or enjoyed from the front porch on a long, cushioned bench. The south side of the house has a small orchard, patio, patio table, cushioned lounge chairs and a BBQ (seasonal). There is a wooden play structure with a fort, swings and a slide. Beyond the orchard is a large bonfire area with plenty of firewood and seating. The community: Chimacum is a sleepy little valley that is best known for its organic farms, grass raised cattle and Finn River Cidery. From the farmhouse you will see cows in the neighboring fields, tractors cutting the hay and bald eagles soaring on the air currents. The Victorian town of Port Townsend is an easy 20 minute drive north where the main street holds shops, restaurants and art galleries. Fort Worden State Park and many local beaches provide endless opportunities to wander or relax in nature. The trailheads of the Olympic National Park are just 45 minutes south with some absolutely stunning views of the Puget Sound at the top of Mount Walker or the base of a waterfall along the Quilcene River. No pets. Thank you.
This place is serene. And in such a perfect spot. We were close enough to Seattle to make a wonderful day trip, but to come right back to a gorgeous country side place that was so peaceful you wouldn’t even know Seattle was a ferry away. The home was just as pictured (actually even better than the photos) and my favorite part was the fire pit outside that they gave us copious amounts of firewood to burn in. This is going to be my go to spot for any future Washington trips!
This was our second time staying here and we love it!! It’s a perfect location for us, plenty big enough for our 4 guests, very comfy!! The water is a little yellow which I think is a water facility thing and the kitchen floor had a few spots. But everything else was super clean and just so comfortable!
Marciano’s place is beautiful and very quiet and private. I am sure they heard us laughing at the TV show that we enjoyed a little later than anticipated but as far as I know there were no complaints. We felt right at home the moment we entered, and had everything we needed. I would recommend staying there, and I would definitely stay there again again when I come back to that area.
Hungry for adventure? Venture 1.5 miles down the road to the medal winning Finn River Cidery, Red Dog Farm or Chimacum Corner Farm Stand. Travel 11 miles north to picturesque turn of the century Victorian city of Port Townsend and the WWII bunkers of Fort Worden. Low land and mountainous hiking trails abound with Olympic Mountain trail heads 20 miles south.
There is plenty of parking in the driveway and the roads are safe for walking and exploring.
