Mariela and Craig’s place was the perfect getaway in the hills. Our dogs loved the backyard and we felt safe leaving them there when we wanted to explore non dog friendly places as the backyard is very secure. It also has a doggy door which was ver convenient. The offleash dog park/old golf course was a 5min walk away and was the perfect way to start each morning!

Wonderful family home, in a beautiful spot. Walkable around Olinda, very well equipped. Quiet and peaceful. Would recommend highly !
The house and the rooms were beautifully presented. The house heated up quickly and was cosy. Autumn in the Dandenongs was cooler than we expected but we were very comfortable for our 2 nights there. We enjoyed being walking distance to the Botanical Gardens and the Arboretum and had some lovely walks in Olinda. Being close to different dining options was also a bonus. Thank you Mariela and Craig.

My wife Mariela and I live in Emerald Victoria. We once lived in the house we now make available as a holiday rental. I am retired and Mariela still works for the government of Victoria. We love to travel and have plans to do more in the future. We are always appreciative of hosts who take the care to make our stays special. We grow our own produce and makes jams and sauces with the excess. We keep bees and chickens and value sustainable practices.
