Welcome to Elsie's our stone cottage part of the Secret Bolthole collection and which we renovated in 2019, having bought it from the indomitable Elsie. If you are looking to retreat from the world, with hills, woods and hikes on your doorstep, and a wild secluded garden with ht tub, this is the one for you. Perfect for friends get aways, a couples escape or family countryside break. And we happily welcome your four legged friend too! The cottage retains many original features, with a inglenook fireplace, wood panelling, oak beams, copper finishes and stone floors. The space is full of vintage, reclaimed and sensitively used natural materials alongside modern conveniences, like underfloor heating, fitted kitchen, rainfall shower and hot tub. Two bedrooms sleep four in total, with a garden room, which can be arranged as a king or twins and a cosy king bedroom upstairs in the oak framed eves. What really sets Elsie's apart is its location. Secluded and buried on the hillside. There is a track and parking by the cottage, and we do accept one dog (limited due to space). We welcome children - just be aware of the steep garden. We can add a travel cot and high chair if needed. Rediscover your passions with our activity box. with everything from yoga equipment, sketching set, flower press, secateurs and hiking essentials. We have binoculars for nature and star gazing and a cocktail set if you want to rustle up something special to sip whilst in the tub. The garden is wild and steep, with little spaces dotted about for sitting, taking in the view and listening to nature.
