Lake Eacham National Park – (6 minute drive)
- One of the best swimming places on earth, accessible all year round, BBQ areas available, perfect spot for a picnic. The lake is surrounded by ancient rainforest; allow time to walk through the 3 km walking tract.

Most people get to the Yungaburra with a hired Car from Cairns. But it is also possible to hire a car in Atherton.
Bus Transfer
- Cairns to Yungaburra either by bus with Tablelands Tours & Transfers or from Cairns to Atherton with Transnorth.
Atherton has an airport (landing strip), 9 minutes drive to Lakes Edge by car.
