Coni and Gabriel were excellent hosts during my 2 weeks here! They were super responsive and so kind. It got cold unexpectedly so they sent me an additional blanket without me asking for it. True hospitality and easy to communicate with! ✨ I sincerely appreciate the fact they were so flexible with check in and check out times. My flights were to/from LAX so they were at inconvenient times. Coni and Gabriel allowed me to check in very early and check out significantly later than stated. It made my travel days much easier! 💗 I would disagree with the idea that the neighborhood is "rough" and that you're not recommended to leave at night. I felt very safe as a solo female traveller. I took normal precautions I would at home in Canada: carried keys in my hand, knew where I was going at all times (so I don't look lost and vulnerable), and let my friends and family know where I was going. I rated safety 4/5 because I was anxious about the safety issues. I would stay here again 😁

Coni's flat is downtown and easily walkable to many restaurants and attractions. Overall the stay was great other than some minor plumbing issues, the water was nicely hot but very low pressure and the bathroom sink drain was leaking. The washer/dryer machine was very convenient especially since we were travelling for a long time so we were very grateful. Unfortunately, the elevator was out of service prior to us arriving and during our stay, we weren't informed before we got there and the apartment is on the 10th floor which made it difficult since we had a lot of luggage (50lb checked bags, carry-ons, hiking backpacks etc). Otherwise, the apartment was clean, bed was comfortable, nice and quiet and had everything that we needed for our stop in Santiago.
