Anchors away beach house! Let me start with the negatives because they aren’t huge but might be deal breakers. When we arrived the elevator was broken. It wasn’t fixed until 4 days into our 7 day trip. And the stairs in this 3 story house are a beast. My current house is also 3 stories so I do stairs all the time but I’ve never felt ankle pain like what I had after bringing our stuff in to start our vacation. Hopefully not be a big deal to you but we had two toddlers and two 70 hyear olds (without mobility issues) so we only considered rental properties that had elevators. Also when we arrived the pool was super cloudy with a clarity error light on the filter. It cleared up Sunday evening but it was disappointing to have to explain to our little ones that they couldn’t swim for part of our vacation. The management company said they were sending people to fix both issues but it didn’t feel like it was a priority. I know we checked in on a weekend so service people might be scarce- but that’s their current schedule choice. Not terrible service but also not great. The beds. The beds are mattresses put on platform beds. My mattress was pretty soft and I could definitely feel the frame as I slept. By day 5 I was wishing for a box spring. Lastly for some reason we had to replace 4 light bulbs at the start of our stay- there were a bunch in a cabinet so maybe they knew about the problem? And the hand towel holders in 3 of the bathrooms had fallen off and were randomly on countertops or under the sinks. Not a bad thing- just odd. Onto the good- and there is a lot of good! The house is gorgeous, New and clean! The Location is great! There is beach access literally across the street. So convenient. Plus there is a publix less than 5 minutes away. Enough warm water!! We all got home from the beach and took showers and no one’s shower was cold. That was huuuge. Also this house has enough furniture for the amount of people it holds. We were all able to sit down at the table for family meals. There was also enough seating poolside. The grill was great and the host made sure there was more than enough propane! There were pots, pans, and storage containers- you can definitely cook here. There were Refrigerators on every floor! So convenient when cooking by the grill or unloading snacks from cooler. The game room was very nice (despite having no ac) and the play kitchen and kids chairs really entertained our little ones. Plus the 2 sets of washer dryers meant that we had fresh towels for the beach and pool when needed. Also dedicated outdoor lounge space on the patios was used by all. I enjoyed the sunset from the patio and really felt at home. Last but not least the location is close to restaurants, the boat tours we chose, and even a park with a splash pad. Overall a great vacation house!
