Enter this charming 1930’s building and the lobby will make you believe you walked into an ancient Egyptian temple with its soaring ceilings and multiple massive columns. Perfectly central, the Garden City neighborhood is Cairo's prime location and is also the location of US, British, and Italian embassies. The apartment has been thoughtfully put together to be comfortable and luxurious with beautiful local Egyptian designs throughout. Every inch of this palace-like space was remodeled by all local craftsmen who handmade the furniture pieces, lighting and artwork you see, showing the best of Egyptian and Arabic design. The apartment has two large bedrooms, one with a king size bed and the other a queen. Perfectly central, this location is a great home base that will take you to everywhere you need to go. From here: 30 min to Pyramids 30 min to Cave Church 15-20 min to Khan al Khalili Market 20 min to Mar Girgis/Old Coptic Cairo 20 min to the Citadel Cafe and Restaurants right within the neighborhood 10-15 min to other great restaurants in neighboring zones 5 min walk to the Nile river where you can take a sailboat ride 5 min to the downtown Egyptian Museum 2 min to Tahrir Square - the center of Cairo Features: 4G wifi, fully equipped kitchen with gas stove and electric oven, new AC units in each room that cool and heat, 1.5 baths, multi stage water filter in the kitchen for clean drinking water. Extra high ceilings, three art deco balconies. The building has a working vintage elevator and the neighborhood is safe. Our two doormen are helpful and we have a security camera at the front of the building and apartment. *please note, we have changed the living room furniture. Photo updates will be uploaded in late April 2024. I believe in the old model of Airbnb hosting, when hosts shared their actual homes and shared their culture with guests. You are staying in my actual home and I'm happy to share tips about Cairo and even show you around if I'm free.

The apartment is an interior design inspiration and sets the mood perfectly for visiting Cairo. Every little detail looks intentional and each room has treasures to discover. Charlene was a wonderful host, starting from providing essentials (even accommodating special food requirements) in the kitchen (loved the almond and oat milk + oats and little snacks). In addition, she went out of her way to call Egypt Air for us to inquiry about our missing luggage which never arrived in Cairo... THANK YOU SO MUCH! We would definitely recommend staying at the apartment and it's such a nice alternative to a luxury hotel.

One of the best Airbnb experiences, EVER. Super chic apartment in a central Cairo location, minutes from the Nile and a great base from which to explore the rest of the city. Step out of the dusty, hectic Garden City pavement to the calm and tranquility of Charlene’s über cool residence, with an abundance of authentic features and extra touches, which made our stay so memorable and enjoyable.
Charlene's appartment is a real gem. It's stunning, spacious, comfortable and in excellent location. Very stylishly decorated and from the moment you walk in you feel very special and surrounded by luxury. Charlene is a wonderful host, warm, open and very friendly. She's provided me with a list of recommendations and I have to say that was a life saver, as except of the Pyramids I had nothing else planned. I can't recommend highly enough staying at Charlene's apartment and would go back and stay there again in a heartbeat. It truly was the most exquisite experience. Thank you Charlene
The apartment is very special, with every detail and need available. The host did an amazing in creating a beautiful home in a historic building. The place could fit 5 people with one sleeping on the sofa bed. The location is facing a busy street, so it could get a little loud but that’s the charm of Cairo.

Perfectly central, Garden City is Cairo’s most lux neighborhood filled with old beautiful buildings. It's flanked by the Nile river to one end and the street that leads into Tahrir Square on the other.
Right around the corner are pharmacies, groceries, fruit and veggie shops, ATMS, cafes, phone service providers, etc.
You can walk by foot to the Egyptian museum, visit nearby cafes or catch a sailboat ride on the Nile.
If you are a city lover, it doesn’t get better than this location, you will see the hustle of Cairo’s famous traffic right outside the three art deco balconies.
The neighborhood is central and from here you can catch all the various sites spread out throughout Cairo.
You can catch an Uber or Taxi from here no problem. There is also a metro station that is about an 8 minute walk from here.
Walking along beautiful scenic paths along the Nile is easy to do from this location.
