FULLY REMASTERED in October 2021, the Torch Lake Schoolhouse is perfectly situated to accommodate large groups up to 11 travelers. This is your base camp to discover and explore all things Northern Michigan! The Torch Lake Schoolhouse located 1/2 mile off Lake Michigan & 1/4 mile off Torch Lake. Whether you like to fish, kayak, hike, bike, boat, or just love to explore, we are located within 20 mins from the towns of Elk Rapids, Bellaire, Charlevoix and Boyne City for the breweries, wineries & shopping. For day trips, we're 40 mins to Traverse City, 45 mins to Petoskey. Original Classroom living quarters includes the following details: - Living room with a seating for the whole party, queen-size memory-foam sleeper within the sectional couch, and a 65" 4K HDTV with internet & several streaming services. - Large dining room table for remote work opportunities. - Full kitchen with utensils, cookware, gas stove, full-size fridge/freezer, dishwasher, and coffee bar. - 2 bedrooms with a queen bed and a twin-over-full bunk bed with dressers for clothing storage. - Modern full bath with deep soaker tub for relaxing or bathing the children. - In-unit laundry with washer and dryer for your convenience. - Fire pit in the yard with camping chairs. We can sleep up to 7 adults with 2 bedrooms and 1 queen-size sleeper sofas. The full kitchen and large dining table act as a great gathering space for meals, games, and conversation. Wifi, 4K 65" HDTV, and streaming services provide onsite entertainment as you kick back and relax on your vacation. A large parking lot offers ample room to bring your boat and park your trailer onsite. There is a beautiful day park just 1/4 mile up the road to launch your boat, swim at the beach, grill your favorite foods, and watch the kids as they enjoy the playground. ITEMS TO BE AWARE OF: - We do not have central air conditioning at this time, but the majority of the time there is a great breeze throughout the unit by opening the windows and screen doors. In addition, we have floor fans, ceiling fans, and portable window AC units available to increase airflow, circulation, and a comfortable climate as needed. - This property is located on US 31 N as seen in the photos. This is the main thoroughfare from Traverse City to Charlevoix/Petoskey and as a result sees varying traffic patterns throughout the week, month, and seasons. The floor fans onsite are available to provide white noise for sleeping assistance as needed.
