Septic smell was overpowering in bathrooms and throughout living space when bathroom doors were open - off putting for sleeping some nights.

We enjoyed our stay at Mary's flat. Sadly due to very cold & rainy weather we couldn't explore the area as originally planned and we couldn't enjoy the view from the window which is the highlight of the flat. The bedding in one of the rooms is not great and could be upgraded to a more comfortable mattress. The bathroom window wasn't closing properly and it creates a big wind noise that can be disturbing at night. Some of the products in the kitchen such as oil and soy sauce were expired for years. The free tea, water and coffee made up for it. Overall the place is convenient but it could use refreshment there is so much potential. Mary and her husband were really kind and even offered us a delicious free breakfast in the morning of our check out. I would recommend Mary place if you are looking for an authentic base to explore the region.
