Når jeg kom til Spirit of the Valley følte jeg meg velkommen og følte meg hjemme med en gang. Ble tatt imot av Rach og dyrene hennes, og det var som å komme til paradis. Stedet til Rach har en inderlig ro og fred over seg, en helt unik hage og omgivelser, man skal lete lenge etter. Rach i seg selv er jo bare skjønn, og er så hyggelig å være sammen med . Og i tillegg et veldig godt menneske som bryr seg oppriktig om sine gjester. Jeg er veldig takknemlig for at jeg fikk oppleve Spirit of the Valley, og jeg kommer garantert tilbake hit.

Spirit of the Valley is a home from home experience hosted by Rachel, who is warm and welcoming. The house, veranda and well maintained gardens are beautiful, teaming with wildlife. We picked mangoes from the garden and enjoyed vegan meals from sister’s nearby Zen’s BushBar. Rachel can recommended a taxi for you from the ferry to her place for approx 70EC. We had Stefan, I am a nervous passenger and his driving was good. (I’ve had some pretty hairy rides in the Caribbean) I would definitely go back to stay at Rachel’s again. Norma

This was a fascinating historical family home up in the hills. Lovely veranda with views. Lush and gorgeous gardens with medicinal plants about which Rach was knowledgable (fruit to pick & eat). Rooms were clean and comfortable - including mosquito tents around 4 poster beds if we wanted. Felt like a retreat in lush surroundings. The shared kitchen was well equipped with quality dishes, pots & pans & the like. Enjoyed getting to know Rach, she was welcoming & helpful - going beyond what most hosts do. I'd go back & highly recommend it as a great get away.

If you’re looking for your Zen, this is the place. The landscape pictures are more vivid and beautiful, frankly no words to describe the ever changing beauty as we enjoyed the veranda. The peacefulness and tranquility the Spirit of the Valley offered was unmatched. We picked fresh papaya and passion fruit, the best we ever had. Her property has other items as well based on season, plus a local farmer if wish to purchase vegetables. Please note it is somewhat remote and with very hilly roads. We used a taxi to get there. Bush Bar is a 10 min walk offering small menu, homemade wines and beer; worth checking out. If you are not driving, have taxi stop at store before hand. She has a full kitchen. Rach was an awesome host in so mays ways; she brought us down to Greaves supermarket and to New Baystones by Buccament beach. She offers her knowledge freely and lives on the premises. If you’re looking for a place to decompress, be one with nature, to really chill, book it! No regrets for us!

Het was ongelooflijk fijn en helemaal fantastisch bij Rach. Niet alleen is haar enorme botanische tuin een lust voor het oog, met alle mogelijke fruitsoorten en boomsoorten die zij allemaal kent, ook zijzelf is een geweldig persoon. Ze kent het gebied door en door, en was de leukste en liefste gastvrouw ooit. Het huis is harmonieus en sereen, met veel zorg en super stijlvol ingericht. We vonden er rust en diepe ontspanning. We zullen vaak terugdenken aan onze dagen in de vallei, en missen haar nu al.
