Candler Park Haven is a large two level home ideal for groups and families to get together in Atlanta, offering many shared areas to gather, both inside and out. Nestled in a charming neighborhood, this house is also walkable to the Candler Edgewood MARTA station, allowing guests quick and car-free travel to the airport, downtown, and major performance venues (17 min to Sate Farm Arena, 15 min to Mercedes Benz Stadium, 20 min to GA World Congress Center, 45 to Hartsfield Airport). Entering the house you'll take in the charm of the original refinished wood flooring from 1900 as you walk through the large hallway that runs along the center of the downstairs house. There are two bedrooms on the first floor. Bedroom 1 is to the left of the hallway, accessed through heavily curtained french pocket doors. This charming room features one of the original fireplaces and beautiful stained glass. Across the hallway from the front downstairs bedroom is the one of the multiple living rooms/dens in this house. This is the "game room" or "media room" and the front staircase (there are front and back staircases) to the upstairs is located in this room. Continuing down the large hallway, you find the downstairs master bedroom to the right and downstairs living room on the left. The living room has with a large luxurious rust velvet Milo Baughman pit style modular sofa, able to seat 10-12 people. The downstairs master bedroom features a king size bed with luxury bed linens and an ornamental fireplace. The attached downstairs master bathroom has a double vanity, shower, freestanding tub, and enclosed toilet. Further down the hallway, as you approach the back of the house, you'll enter the kitchen and dining area on the left. To your right is a multi-use room that is can be used as a sitting area or bedroom. This room contains the pull out queen sofa by Mitchell Gold. Guests using the pull out sofa will be directed to the location of the bedding, including a 3" thick memory foam mattress topper. The door to the downstairs half bath is located in this room. Through the arched doorway you'll enter the back room of the house that can be used as a kids play room, an office, or a reading room, next to the staircase which takes you to the upstairs living area, office, and master suite. The upstairs living area contains another living room, with an enormous West Elm sectional sofa for ultimate lounging. The upstairs office has a large teak desk and faces a massive picture window allowing you to look out onto the zen garden and pond in the backyard. The upstairs master is accessed through french shutter doors and has a queen size Tuft & Needle mattress, Mitchell + Gold chaise sitting area by the fireplace and an attached master bath. The master bath has an enclosed toilet, double vanity, a very large tub, and “rainforest" shower. The bedroom adjacent to the upstairs master can be configured depending on the needs of your group, as it contains a split-king mattress that can be setup as two separate twin XL beds or a king bed. Please let host know upon booking how you would like this room set up for your group. There is a small full bathroom upstairs next to this room, accessible to guests in the front upstairs bedroom, if that room is occupied. The "front" bedroom (named as such because it looks onto the street rather than the backyard) contains a Tuft & Needle full/double bed and shares the full bathroom with the middle bedroom. The full kitchen contains everything you need to cook a delicious meal. Gas range, oven, microwave, cookware. The laundry room with washer/dryer, ironing board, iron, and cleaning supplies is located in the kitchen as well. The dining area overlooks the backyard pond, fire pit, and Zen garden.
