Michael was a wonderful host. The place was amazing, and peaceful complete with a nighttime canopy of frogs lulling you to sleep. The icehouse restoration was truly incredible. We would highly recommend.

This was out favorite Airbnb stay so far! Such a unique and beautiful home. Very cozy and full of charm. The surrounding area is beautiful and a creek runs adjacent to the property. The Imperial Hotel is a short walk away, and is a must for dinner! The food is impeccable! Michael was a wonderful host!

The codesigner of The Ice House Paula Hansson made contact with us twice and even left us a Presto log when she couldn’t find dry firewood We enjoyed the spacious and interestingly appointed house We felt very comfortable in the very friendly small town of Amador City

the Ice House is an experience you will not forget! Michael and Cassandra are over the top hosts with the mosts. The spot on the creek was serene. The structure (and documented history of beautiful rebuild) is amazing and is like a modern day castle. definitely recommend to any and all looking!

This is a special place to stay. Beautifully decorated and every thing showed attention to detail. It exceeded our expectations and my architect husband took many photos! Highly recommended!
