A perfect base for exploring the Peak District. The blend of rustic charm and modern comforts made our stay incredibly comfortable, the welcome pack and guest book contained lots of helpful tips for local restaurants. We enjoyed a nice Sunday carvery at the Three Horseshoes. The barn itself was cozy, well-equipped, and beautifully furnished, allowing us to unwind peacefully each evening. This serene getaway left us rejuvenated, and we eagerly anticipate our return to this charming retreat. We are looking at bringing some family next time.

lovely place, but our experience was marred by a few things that left us feeling that the experience could have been better. On the first night, we saw the sign about the hot tub turning off at 10.30 and planned a pub meal and return taxis so we'd have a good 45 mins in the tub. 10.07 however saw the tub switch off and after ringing the host a rather curt Heather told us the timer had malfunctioned and they couldn't look at it until the morning. The next day it switched off at 10.37 so the problem was fixed, but it was a shame it wasn't extended to make up for the lost half hour. If like us you are specifically booking for the tub, be aware that it automatically shuts off at this time. The rest of the stay was fine but we felt the 9am checkout was too early, especially given the long list of checkout items, some of which I don't think should fall to guests (including taking rubbish to the farm house, folding and splitting linen and towels, and putting on the dishwasher).

We had a lovely stay at Brambles Cottage - the hot tub was great with some nice views of the surrounding country. We had really comfortable sleeps and the house was well equipped. One small thing that could have made our stay even better is a slightly later check out time, as we had to get up relatively early to perform the check out actions.

Lovely weekend in this cottage with friends. The location was beautiful, and fantastic to sit in the hot tub to enjoy the view! Annabelle was great with communication beforehand, and the cottage was well equipped with everything for our stay. The only thing that would improve our stay, would have been a slightly later check out.
