I have enjoyed every place I have booked on Airbnb except this one. We went there in -40 Degrees and upon arrival the kitchen drain was frozen and not draining. Having booked this during christmas, I had lots of cooking planned which meant lots of dishes and with a non operational kitchen sink it was impossible to stay. I contacted Kristen within an hour of arrival and shared pictures of the clogged drain and after a while she responded that she will get a plumber to come in the day I leave. Now, how was that supposed to help me? I checked out the very next day forfeiting two more nights. The interior was also a bit underwhelming as compared to the pics. I wish I could have stayed and enjoyed the three nights because it looks like a great cabon for the summer but heads up to anyone planning to go there in the coldest winter days.

Kristen's place was the perfect spot for a weekend getaway and not far from Edmonton. We loved it! so peaceful and quiet. I think it was the best sleep I had in years. My 8 year old daughter loved the bunk beds! Kirsten thought of everything. We even saw a coyote walking across the ice on the lake. Definitely want to return and especially in summer time to enjoy the water and beach. We drove to nearby Calmar to get some donuts at the bakery. best donuts and brownies we've had! Also checked out the antique shops there. I highly recommend Kristen's place. You won't be disappointed!

We had a great stay! The accommodations were clean, cute and the location was wonderful! Our family loved that you could walk out the door and down a few stairs to jump straight off the dock. Our kids swam from dusk till dawn and could not have been happier. We enjoyed a fire on the beach and watched some beautiful sunsets. My husband was thrilled he was able to catch a ton of fish straight off the dock! Our host was pleasant and quick to respond to any questions. Thank you for a wonderful week!

My wife and 2 young boys were for fortunate enough to stay at Kristen’s cabin for 4 nights. It was absolutely amazing. The location couldn’t be better. The deck overlooks the water and is a perfect place to cook dinner while watching the family jump off the dock. The cabin is small, but cozy and well maintained. They’ve done an great job integrating a rustic cabin with modern amenities. The main beach was only a 5 minute drive, but there was a small beach and green space a short walk from the cabin. However, we found ourselves swimming off the dock which was only about 3-4 feet deep and mostly sand when you got away from the shore. For it being August long, the water was very clean and warm. The fire pit area on the shore was the best way to spend the evening, Tupperware bin of wood was supplied, refills were available but we ended up buying wood from the nearby campground. We hope to return again one day, it was everything we hoped for and more. Kristen clearly has an eye for detail and provided every amenity you could think of. She was also quick to respond to questions and had great communication. Thanks for the hospitality and we look forward to staying again.

My family and I had an amazing stay! Our only regret is that we didn’t stay longer. The cabin has tons of charm with all the supplies and necessities needed (plus extras!) Cleanliness is important and this cabin was extremely clean and had such cute details and ambiance. The huge tv both in the sitting area and bedroom was nice when it rained. It was a thoughtful touch to have a nice bottle of wine waiting for us upon our arrival. I also enjoyed the Keurig machine which made morning coffees easy. The deck was where we spent a lot of our time, with a super amazing view of the lake and a big table to eat at, bbq, and seating area to relax in the sun. The awning was great to use when a little shade was needed to relax under. My father caught a fish right off the dock which made him very happy. The short drive to the nearby town of Calmar was fun- the BEST bakery with the best donuts and brownies we’ve ever tasted is worth the visit. At night we were able to sit at the fire pit down by the water and eat s’mores while watching the sunset. Kristen provided a Rubbermaid filled with wood which was great! Overall we enjoyed our stay so much and hope to be back next summer and maybe even this winter for a relaxing getaway. Communication with Kristen was fast, efficient, and clear. If we needed anything she was available (which we really didn’t because everything we needed was already there!). Fantastic trip, thanks Kristen:)
