Wonderful relaxing stay, house and grounds are fabulous, plenty of space for our two families to come together. Conservatory an added bonus to look at the view taking in the sunrise, the moorland mist and even spotted red deer on the hilltop. The walk to the top of the hill gave us spectacular views of the surroundings as far as Dartmoor in the distance. We enjoyed days out to Dunster, Barnstaple, Lynton and Lynmouth, between 20 to 40 minutes drive away. Lovely fish and chips at the Espanade, Lynmouth. Thank you for the tip Shelley. We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

We had a beautiful stay. The conservatory had stunning views and it was extremely peaceful. A great place to come and clear your mind with everything you could possibly need at your finger tips. Beds were comfortable and led to a great nights sleep. The atmosphere in all the rooms allowed us to enjoy a wonderful time with our large family without feeling crowded. Highly recommend and look forward to hopefully coming back soon.

We had a lovely week here, the surroundings are breathtaking and the house is steeped in history. It is really remote, which for us was lovely - when we had clear nights the stars were amazing. The children loved the tennis court and the house & grounds are large so plenty of space to explore (and also find piece & quiet). As details explain there is no phone signal but the wifi was good (apart from one short power cut (but resolved that ourselves by finding the trip switch!)
