'Ty Madog rooms' is a delightful cosy cottage space just off the beaten track on the edge of Brynrefail. It is part of an old farmhouse and surrounded by woodland and farmland. You will be a few minutes walk from the stunning Padarn lake then a lakeside walk or cycle from bustling Llanberis. The cottage has a private garden and parking. This is the perfect base for your Snowdonia adventures. We are near Snowdon and Zipworld. There are games, books and maps, a hot bath or shower, comfy beds and kitchen facilities.

Amazing and very homely cottage perfect for snowdon lovely personally touches and of course breakfast a bonus would definitely recommend and would return no hesitation.
Wonderful and comfortable place in a fabulous location. Central to Snowdonia mountians and also the coast and Anglesey. Perfect stay for 2 adults and 4 kids.
The accommodation is exceptionally good value for what is an extremely clean, spacious and modern cottage. The hosts went above and beyond to help out with anything, we came during Storm Dennis so they provided us with special storm provisions 🙂. The hosts also accommodated for our lateness as we had a puncture! And offered to put us up for a further night if we could not get it sorted. In general, the cottage has everything you need and is very cosy.

When you are taking a break from walking the mountains or paddle boarding on the lake....There is a renowned coffee shop/licenced restaurant 'Y Caban' a walk away in Brynrefail. Another one, 'Lodge Dinorwic' is a also a pleasant walk or cycle away. Nearby Llanberis is the centre of the Snowdonia outdoor community with so much going on.
The ambitious can walk from the cottage to the peak of Snowdon, or alternatively, pop on the sherpa shuttle bus in Llanberis to get to pen y pass and start from there.
We can advise you on any walking or cycle routes you might like to try - the choices are endless!
