The villa was beautiful and me and my family (6 adults and 3 kids) loved staying there. We loved that the house was large enough for three families, the kitchen was well stocked, there was a cook who lived in the house and that it was generally well connected to places you'd want to visit in Mysore. There are fields and a coconut grove close by to explore. Some things that might be useful to note: (a) This might not be the best for toddlers/younger kids. We had two kids below the ages of 5 and had to constantly keep an eye that they didn't go to close to the staircase as it doesn't have a childsafe railing and there are large open spaces small bodies can fall through. (b) The cook and caretaker live inside the villa (in their rooms). We didn't mind this as it was awesome to have a cook always around and they were REALLY excellent and helpful.

Misleading Expectations and Safety Concerns at Davey's Townhouse Our stay at Davey's Townhouse in Mysore fell short of expectations. Despite booking what was advertised as an entire place, the reality was a shared accommodation with the caretaker residing in the basement, posing safety concerns for our group of three women. The property's odd design and lack of proper ventilation added discomfort, especially with the overpowering smells of masalas filling the house. The promised spacious balconies became a nightmare due to an insect invasion and large wooden doors with no vent The advertised large garden turned out to be a tiny backyard, disappointing our hopes for a great run for our pets. At a hefty price of 22K for a night, the stay was overpriced for the experience we had. When we raised these concerns with the Stayvista manager, there was little sympathy or resolution. Overall, our stay was tolerable but far from the value we expected. We cannot recommend this property to others

Davey’s Townhouse is a nice, clean and quaint place..nothing fancy but, just perfectly in order. Naveen, the caretaker was quite attentive and helpful. Sachin, my point contact was particularly keen to check if everything was in order. In fact, I was told he drove few miles from another property just to greet us. Breakfast was simple but, spot on. The whole property was spotlessly clean and well maintained. For a family of 5 adults, a child and a pet, this was perfect. Our pet dog was well taken care of and he ran around, walked across the village side..had a break that was long due. Will surely recommend Davey’s Townhouse for a short Mysore trip..especially, if you are looking for a pet friendly, peaceful place. Would rate it 4 on a scale of 1 to 5

The villa is comfortable, tastefully done and was a perfect weekend getaway for us driving in from Bangalore. The natural lighting and minimalist furnishing enhanced the elegance of the villa - the balconies overlooking the green fields were especially pleasing to the eye. We brought our pet along and he was equally delighted with the space, both indoors and outdoors. Special shout out to Naveen who whipped up magic in the kitchen - the food was simple and excellent. Naveen effortlessly accommodated all of our food needs. Overall we were very happy with our stay at the property. The caretakers were helpful and willing to accommodate additional needs. We would definitely consider coming back.

Overall, the experience was excellent. It was private and in a quiet location. The food was homely and suitable. The manager there was accommodating and checked on us regularly. We also met the owner and learned about their organic home-grown vegetables used for cooking. The only issue was with Maps providing a tiny road with directions. Also, we have one feedback for the owners. They should consider segregating the wet, dry, and reject wastes. Incorporate home composting if possible.
